So the Philips alarm clock that only functions with iPhone app doesnt function. Complained to Philips was told to take a hike!
its worth its price: ZERO. unstable, no features, no sense. take a look at clock pro, or nigth standing instead.
I need the Alarm Clock back!!! Radio also doesnt work
DS9000/12 is not connecting with my iphone 4 since the last updates of this app anymore. Even the latest update couldnt fix this. Now this expensive Philips Dockingstation is useless for me and i put it in the garbage - i hope its at least good for recycling! Beside of that i dont like the many funktions of this app anymore - i just want to listen to music.
Upgrade destroyed the app. It runs for 5 seconds then crashes every time I load it. Brutal piece of garbage.
Terrible. Crashes 50% of the time. Other times I will set alarms and they will "go off" but no sound comes out. Not the way an alarm is supposed to work. Please fix this app.
Upgrade= downgrade Fix=break. Try again.!!!
I have ipod dock speakers and I cant get the dock to charge while the iPod Is docked. What good is an alarm clock if the pod is dead in the morning?
The app is okay, it nice to have the main sleep/wake functionalities all-in-one. But the normal alarm is much beter, as you dont have to unlock the iPod/iPhone to touch the screen. An auto-unlock function would be great. And where did the alarm volume control go? It seems to be on full blast when I select a music track to wake up. No way is it as smooth as the first edition. FIX THIS!
Should have stayed with 2.0.0! Volume at full on alarm...! Annoying bugs in app
Just do it, Im Sick of reading complaints including my own, an employee of Phillips needs to read this and tend to this matter, dont advertise the awesome app if the app is useless! Make it useful!
The app is meant to work with Philips DS8550 and DS9000 sound docks, I think. If the app did what I think it was meant to do, it would be a good interface for the DS8550. I have the DS8550 sound dock, the iPad 2 and iPhone 4. Some of the controls on the remote dont work (such as the menu), apparently because it is not fully compatible with iPad 2 and the iPhone 4. I dont know if it is the Sound Dock, the App or iPad 2 and iPhone 4 that is not compatible. The "menu" item is somewhat important as it allows the user to use the remote to choose songs and playlists. Also get a message that the devices are not supported. I just dont get it, is the app for the ipad, iphone or isnt it? When I contacted Philips they did not give a clear explanation.
Talk about one of the most effen frustrating experiences possible with Philips Fidelio and Itunes. Really all I did was buy a docking speaker so I could put my ipod on and play music. Instead effen Philips, with the most scripted stupid reps just sent me in circles. Have you heard the word linking??? But even now at the itunes store it is virtually impossible to download the app. So I have provided the name of my first born, my credit care and goodness knows what else. All I know is that if I cant make this speaker work by tomorrow I will just go back to Costco and gratefully give back this useless Fidelio speaker docking station. Come on guys - you need to make your customer reps a bit more savvy as right now I dont think I will ever by anything made my philips again.
This could have been an amazing success but this apps failed most of the time. Also, the sleep timer is my favorite feature but again doesnt work when the iPad is on the cradle..please find this issue ASAP!!!
I found this App very good, 4 stars. It recently started crashing. Today I deleted it and then re-installed the program. Fantastic it works with no trouble. I think it was an iOS update that rendered it inoperable. I like the app and even more like the sound quality of the DS3000. Works great as a good speaker, charger, alarm, and night clock. I use my iPhone 4, iTouch and Nano (just for play back on 6th gen Nano. I like the un-plugable AC cable and the portability with battery use. I also plug in another MP 3 player into the "audio IN". Less clutter than my $500 puter external speakers I bought from another Manufacturer. Thanks, Philips for a great speaker and companion software. Chris
The current update has made it so that the device now says, "No Audio Available" when I try to play a song. My iPod touch 4g works with any other device...
So I love my new DS3510 speakers and the fact I can bluetooth my music is just awesome. I like the alarm function and how it shows the weather the background of the clock. I also like how I can dim the clock screen so its not too bright at night and that I can set a wakeup picture and any song I want for the alarm. The only problem is that the actual alarm is useless because its too damn quiet! The only thing that wakes me up is the iPhone "alarm" sound which I cant set in this app. If I have to use a song its gotta be loud. This alarm function should start the alarm song off quiet and slowly increase it to full blast. If an alarm isnt loud its good for nothing. Give us the "alarm" tone and some volume options!!!!!
Nice sounding unit that has great potential but unsupported iPad 2 charging. Talked with Philips support rep and he had no idea when the DS8550/37 would be able to support charging the iPad2 Still like unit but buggy app.
I actually enjoy this app. I can tune in radio and I appreciate the functions on the front page. Clock, meteo, alarm and so on. One of my everyday app. And I really enjoy my speaker!
